White Cap's Maccaferri TerraWall: The Ideal Solution for Vertical MSE Structures
When an engineer needed a near-vertical MSE structure to support a new road connecting the Golden Heights Residential Development, White Cap's Maccaferri TerraWall proved to be the ideal solution. At 6.25 meters in height by 65 meters long, the wall had to be strong, durable, and easy to install. The engineer was impressed by the TerraWall's design and features, as well as the quick and efficient installation process.

The Maccaferri TerraWall is a double twisted wire wall system that features a welded wire 4” x 4” form at the front face. Each form is .65m in height, 2m in length, and 2m in depth, with Maccaferri's WG uniaxial geogrid. This results in a wall that is not only strong and durable but also provides excellent stability and resistance to deformation.

One of the key features of the Maccaferri TerraWall is its galvanized wire with PVC coating, which extends the design life of the wall. This robust coating prevents corrosion, even in harsh environments, meaning the wall will remain in excellent condition for many years to come.
Another advantage of the Maccaferri TerraWall is the fact that it has a lift height of .65m, which is higher than the competitors' .45m lift height. This makes installation quicker and more efficient, saving both time and money for the contractor.
In addition, Maccaferri supplied conceptual drawings for the engineer's review, helping to ensure that the wall met all requirements and specifications. With its superior quality and ease of installation, the Maccaferri TerraWall proved to be the ideal solution for the Golden Heights project.
